Very Spacious Holiday Cottage in Hertfordshire
The property is a very spacious barn conversion offering generous levels of accommodation for both families and groups of friends.
It is an inspiring place to stay with its exposed beams, double height lounge, and lots of natural daylight.
Alder Barn is owned and run by Jonathon and Abigail. After staying at lots of holiday homes throughout the UK with their two young daughters, they became frustrated by the simple things that were missing or not included.
As a result Alder Barn has been designed and furnished with no hidden extra costs. Everything is included; such as bedding, towels, travel cot, Wi-Fi, Netflix, and so on. We also include a welcome pack with milk, tea and coffee. So, when you arrive, there is no need to start making beds and trying to find a shop that’s open.
Ashwell is a simply stunning village; it even won Hertfordshire's most beautiful village award in 2011. Its Tudor cottages “look like they came off a film set”, and the grand St Mary’s Church with St Mary’s tower can be seen from miles around and houses a famous 16th Century clock.
There is all you need in Ashwell right on your doorstep; in the quadrangle where Alder Barn is located you even have a hairdressers, Ashwell Gallery and jewellers.
Take a short five minute stroll down the high street and you’ll find a traditional country pub, a very nice ‘gastro’ pub, an Indian restaurant, Post Office, two churches, butchers, bakers and more.
For children there is a large playing field with children’s play area, plus there is Ashwell Springs to visit along with its stepping stones as well as lots of walks in and around the village suitable for all.
If you are looking for holiday cottages Hertfordshire and would like to stay at Alder Barn with your friends or family, or have any question at all for Jonathon and Abi, please call us on 01462 757 020.
